Deep somewhere inside the horse
There burns a golden flame
This is the light that gives them life
The light you cannot tame
When trotting through a virgin field
Or 'cross ariver mild
That leaping flame shows bright to me
That flame that keeps them wild
So though a horse is owned by man
And taught to be a mount
A horse is not quite a horse
If that flame he was without
